Lynx Species Overview
According to many of the experts there used to be quite a few different species of Lynx in the world. Today we are aware of only four of them. They are the Canadian Lynx, Eurasian Lynx, Iberian Lynx, and the Bobcat.

Eurasian Lynx
The Eurasian Lynx is a medium sized feline and it is the biggest of all the Lynx species. They weigh from 40 to 66 pounds.

Canadian Lynx
The Canada Lynx is a lovely animal with very thick fur. It has many characteristics that are reflective of the feline known as the Bobcat. The coat offers colors of tan, silver, and black.

Iberian Lynx
Known as the most endangered feline in the world, the Iberian Lynx is one worth taking a close look at. Like all Lynx it features a short tail and tuft ears. It also has the tuft under the chin that resembles a human beard.

Bobcat
The Bobcat is a type of feline known as the Lynx. It is about three times larger that the typical domestic cat. They range in size from 16 pounds to 30 pounds with the males being larger than the females.
